Introduction to Object Oriented Development (1 day)

Objectives: To initiate the students to the key mechanisms of object oriented programming, object oriented modelling and UML.

Outline: Object oriented concepts, object oriented programming is simulating and modelling, introduction to UML, some industrial issues (OO and relational databases, distributed applications), where is object oriented going (Corba, Jini, .Net, Design Patterns).
